The North Shore Center’s Showcase is an annual trade show connecting educators and program directors from schools, libraries and park districts with educational artists, performers, speakers and other educational enrichment programs designed for youth audiences.
The North Shore Center is converted into the Showcase Exhibit Hall, an area containing booths for touring artists and companies, artist representatives, booking agencies, presenting groups, public speakers, and vendors in the Midwest interested in meeting Showcase Attendees and other presenting organizations. Showcase proudly attracts hundreds of these arts programmers, educators and event planners looking to augment their tight arts budgets and meet curriculum requirements by booking Showcase exhibitors and performers. As Showcase Attendees sit comfortably in the house, our expert technical staff will “showcase” presentations in the best light in LIVE performances on the state-of-the-art Center Theatre stage. Showcase is working to keep the arts alive in our schools and neighborhoods!
Showcase is made possible through the generous support of the Irving M. & Sylvia Footlik Foundation and the remarkable personal commitment to education by Sylvia Footlik. Showcase is named for the Footlik Foundation because of the extraordinary dedication demonstrated over so many years by Sylvia and her late husband Irving.
