HEALING is an intimate and emotionally charged story about two women, the choices that shape our lives, and the unexpected possibility of forgiveness.
Renowned actresses Chulpan Khamatova and Yulia Aug come together in Vaba Lava Theatre’s acclaimed production of HEALING - a compelling contemporary drama by celebrated playwright Mikhail Durnenkov, directed by acclaimed Latvian director Elmārs Seņkovs.
After the death of her father, Anna (Yulia Aug) takes over his charitable foundation, Healing, inheriting not only his work but also responsibility for the people whose lives depend on it. Then Sonia (Chulpan Khamatova) appears - a mysterious journalist with a complicated past, unclear motives, and a determination to turn Anna’s world upside down.
What begins as a confrontation between two very different women soon becomes a gripping journey into the past, where secrets surface, certainties begin to crumble, and the truth is never quite what it seems.
Who is telling the truth? Who has more to lose? And can two people who seem destined to destroy each other somehow find their way toward healing?
