Maz Jobrani is a comedian, actor, and bestselling author who performs stand-up around the world. His latest comedy special, The Birds and the Bees, is now streaming on YouTube.

As an actor, Maz is known for playing the lovable Fawz on the CBS comedy Superior Donuts. His many television credits include Grey’s Anatomy, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Better Off Ted, Last Man Standing, and Shameless. He has also appeared regularly on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and The Late Late Show with James Corden.

Maz starred in the award-winning indie comedy Jimmy Vestvood: Amerikan Hero, which he also co-wrote and co-produced. His film credits also include The Interpreter, Disney’s Descendants, and Friday After Next.

His other stand-up specials include Immigrant, filmed at the Kennedy Center for Netflix, as well as Brown and Friendly, I Come in Peace, and I’m Not a Terrorist, But I’ve Played One on TV on Showtime.

In 2016, Maz performed at the White House, where he had the honor of introducing Michelle Obama. A UC Berkeley alum, he delivered the keynote address to the university’s graduating class in 2017. He also hosted the 45th International Emmy Awards in New York.

Maz was a founding member of the Axis of Evil comedy tour, which aired on Comedy Central. He is a regular panelist on NPR’s Wait Wait... Don’t Tell Me!, has given two TED Talks, and is the author of the LA Times bestselling book I’m Not a Terrorist, But I’ve Played One on TV.

He also executive produced Everything Must Change, a documentary about his sister’s battle with breast cancer.
