Welcome to the premier performance venue of Chicago's North Shore!
The North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie (NSCPAS), brings the spirit of New York's Lincoln Center and Washington's Kennedy Center to Chicago's bustling North Shore. The NSCPAS is also home to three distinct Resident Companies: Centre East, Northlight Theatre, and Skokie Valley Symphony Orchestra.
The State-of-the-Art, Award-Winning North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie was designed by Boston-based architect Graham Gund and opened in November 1996. The NSCPAS is currently celebrating its 11th year of operation. During the past 11 years, the NSCPAS has hosted performances by Bill Maher, Twyla Tharp Dance Company, Marvin Hamlisch, Bill Cosby, Crystal Gayle, The Capitol Steps, Andrea Marcovicci, and many more, including local talents such as Mike Nussbaum, Jennifer Graham, and Hubbard Street Dance Company, to name a few.
The NSCPAS is managed by Professional Facilities Management of Providence, Rhode Island, and is supported by the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts Foundation.
