Back by popular demand! That lovable little monkey Curious George, star of books, movies and the award-winning PBS television show returns to the North Shore Center stage in this delightful musical adventure from TheatreWorks USA. One of the world’s most popular characters from children’s literature, the original Curious George books were written by Hans Augusto Rey and Margret Rey and were introduced to the world way back in 1941. Kids have gone bananas for little Curious George ever since! After a 2006 movie that included character voiceovers by Will Ferrell, Drew Barrymore, Dick Van Dyke, David Cross and Eugene Levy; a new Curious George TV series debuted on PBS Kids.
All–You-Can-Eat Meatball Day came just once a year. George had been waiting all month for that day—a day almost bigger than his birthday! On previous Meatball Days, George helped his friend Chef Pisghetti cook some delicious meatballs and serve them to the hungry crowd. But this year, the crowd had vanished! Something pretty big was keeping people away. And that “something” was Phinneas T. Lightspeed and his speedy Meatballs O’Matic machine. In despair, Chef Pisghetti vows to cook no more. Determined to help his friend, George goes on a mission to enter the Chef’s meatballs in the world-famous Golden Meatball Contest held in Rome. With every curious swing and flip, George takes the audience through a fun-filled adventure in which he learns all about Rome, meatballs, and the “secret ingredient” to cooking!
