The Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theater celebrates its 34th Anniversary American Spanish Dance Festival June 16- 27. The Festival is offering a 6 day intensive seminar of classes in the Classical, Folkloric & Flamenco dance & music styles at Northeastern Illinois University (773) 442-5916. Three Gala concerts, Flamenco Passion will be presented on June 25, 26 & 27, at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie. Dame Libby Komaiko, the company's Founder & Artistic Director presents the full company of 40 dancers, singers & musicians with international guest artists from Spain and the Americas in this magnificent concert highlighting World Premieres . The critically acclaimed company of dancers continue to entertain audiences from around the world with the must see concert event of the year Flamenco Passion. Extraordinary costumes and stage settings accompany this spectacular concert with romantic Spanish Ballets, traditional folkloric suites, and fiery, sensual Flamenco dramas.
